Some people do outdoor adventures to celebrate their health and fitness. Sometimes the adventure itself is the inspiration to adopt a new exercise routine. 

Our approach to training is based on a time tested rule of navigation, "Know where you are, know where you are going, know how to get there". 

No two people are the same and we mainly all have different circumstances. Our work, family, experience, location and fitness level are just some of the things which create choices for everyone in the question of how best to begin the training adventure.

That said, there are commonalities in the way that most people prepare. Walking or hiking is a rock-solid foundation. Overall core conditioning makes a body strong. There are few ways better than regular sessions on stairs and hills to get in tip-top shape for the expedition.
