My presentations draw on more than two decades coaching experience. (click here to view my biography).
I've personally coached over a thousand people to success in fitness and spoken to audiences across the United States. I've spoken to a wide range of clients; from Military Special Forces, to Corporations, Schools, Church Groups, Retailers, Medical Institutions, Running, Triathlon and Climbing Clubs.
The prospect of becoming fit and healthy can be daunting for many people, so I draw on both client and personal experience, blending the two with exercise physiology, nutrition science and performance psychology - to provide a starting point for audiences to start and succeed in their fitness and health goals.
My bias is to exercise outdoors, to harness the power of nature and beauty to raise our energy levels and motivation. My methods are to make the training as simple as possible, which makes it easy for audience members to get started right away.
My first goal with your team or group is to inspire action and commitment. I draw from experiences as an athlete, military officer and expedition leader - to offer concrete actionable ideas - on planning, patience, commitment and confidence.
I also draw from my experience with depression and addiction, connecting with your audience, with practical examples of how of fitness activities in nature -- can offer powerful and curative effects. Especially in corporations, depression is an elephant in the room that blocks progress for many people. By offering examples of how to use outdoor exercise as a therapeutic tool, I can encourage anyone on how to get started, no matter what circumstances exist.
People often tell me they appreciate the humor, simplicity and compassion that I bring to my presentations. Everyone struggles sometimes and it's my experience that to breathe life into dreams of fitness and health, along with easy and practical steps, can be a tremendous boost to anyone.
In corporate presentations, human resources managers report an increase in wellness program enrollment after presentations, and that they create a bridge between employees and the goals of company wellness programs.
