Consider the role of patience in getting fit. Many voices tell us to get there faster and quicker, but ask any high performing athlete and they'll tell you it takes time.
If you can, think in terms of years not months. You can change your fitness in two months, but you can change your whole life's direction in two years.
Successful training plans take the long view. The moment we decide where were are going to be in a few years, the sooner we'll start doing the actions that will get us there. Paradoxically, we'll actually see more results in the short term.
