Featured Athlete: Denise

For several years I've had the pleasure to train with Denise and her husband, Terron. Terron is a former 82 Airborne Paratrooper, and no stranger to exercise. Denise is a health and fitness fanatic, and is always motivating her coworkers to be healthy and reach for new challenges.

One of her passions is climbing mountains. In 2008 we climbed Mt Rainier together, in support of Camp Patriot. Since then, she has climbed Mount Hood, and this year Denise is climbing Mt. Baker to raise awareness for Breast Cancer

By her energy levels one might think she has all day to exercise, and yet she is up at 3 a.m. every day for her job as a news journalist with Seattle news station KOMO4.

This week Denise got to hang with some champions. In fact, some world champions - the Seahawks - as they were welcomed by President Obama to the Whitehouse. She was there to cover the story for KOMO4.

We are proud of you, Denise. Best of luck with training for Mt. Baker and all future adventures to come.
