Foods high in protein.

For weight loss plans. Protein is important and it's easy to fall short. The Rx 100 recommended amount is 1.2 grams, per KG of body weight, per day. 1 KG = 2.2 lbs. Example: A 160 lb person would aim for 90 grams per day. This equals 360 calories from protein. 

Here are some foods/amounts you can eat to reach this goal.   

  • 3 large eggs = 20 grams
  • 2 cups chopped kale = 6 grams
  • 200 grams steak = 55 grams
  • 200 grams chicken breast = 38 grams.
  • 1/2 fillet salmon = 40 grams
  • 1 oz nuts and seeds = 9 grams
  • 170 grams (one small container) yogurt = 17 grams
  • Most protein drinks. 1 scoop = 16 grams.
  • 100 grams non fat mozzarella = 32 grams 
  • 1 cup Beans/lentils = 29 grams
