Fit By Nature
DESCRIPTION: Author John Colver will read from Fit By Nature. This will be followed by a Daily Dozen workout.
EVENT NOTES: Program is by invitation only.
Given the low snowfall this winter, I'm taking the opportunity to see if this section (H) of the Pacific Crest Trail is passable. Starting at White Pass Ski Area and heading south, I'm hoping to cover the 148 miles in about a week. I'll take an ice axe and snowshoes to be ready for any current or future snowfall.
In my experience guiding on Rainier, we'd often see heavy snowfalls in April, May and June. The elevation of this terrain varies from 7000 to 3000 feet, so certainly enough height to see some good accumulation. For the same reason, I'll carry four-season gear.
I'll have ten days of food, a couple of books and my camera. There's no phone reception anywhere in between the start and end. I'll upload pictures and description afterwards.
